Returns and Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day return window from the date you receive your order.
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
- In their original condition: unused, unworn, uninstalled, and in original packaging
- Complete with all accessories, wiring, fittings, instructions, and documentation supplied
- Accompanied by proof of purchase, such as your receipt or order number
We cannot accept returns on gift cards, custom-made items, personalised orders, or items that have been used, fitted, damaged, modified, or are no longer in a resalable condition.
How to Start a Return (UK & International 🌍)
To begin your return, please email returns@scpautomotive.co.uk. If your return is approved, we’ll send full instructions on how and where to return the item.
Important:
- Do not send items back without approval. Unauthorised returns may be refused.
- Unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured return service, as the customer remains responsible for the item until it is received by us.
- Returned items must be securely packaged to prevent damage in transit.
Right to Cancel
If you are a consumer, you may have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods.
Where this right applies, you must inform us that you wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving your order. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.
Unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
Returned goods must be handled only as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning. We reserve the right to make a deduction from any refund where the value of the goods has been reduced due to handling, use, installation, damage, missing parts, or missing packaging beyond what is necessary.
Order Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your order before dispatch, please contact us as soon as possible.
Orders that have not yet been dispatched may usually be cancelled for a full refund.
Where a statutory right to cancel applies, refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.
Pre-order cancellations may not always be possible once production, sourcing, ordering, or allocation has commenced. Please contact our team as soon as possible for further information.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item.
To process a claim, we require:
- Photos of the product
- Photos of all internal and external packaging
- Packaging to be retained until the case is resolved
Without this information, we may be unable to process a claim with the courier or supplier.
Exchanges
We do offer exchanges. However, the item you’d like to exchange must be returned first.
Once the return is received and approved, you can either:
- Request a replacement item, subject to stock availability, or
- Place a new order while waiting for the return to be processed
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you of the outcome.
If approved, your refund will be processed back to your original payment method.
Please allow time for your bank, card provider, or payment provider to complete the refund.
Original standard delivery charges may be refunded where required by law. Premium delivery services, express shipping upgrades, installation charges, customs duties, import VAT, brokerage fees, and other third-party charges are non-refundable unless required by law.
International Returns, Customs, and Import Charges
For international orders, the customer is responsible for any return shipping costs unless the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied.
Any customs duties, import VAT, brokerage fees, clearance fees, taxes, or similar charges paid to third parties are non-refundable by SCP Automotive.
If an international parcel is refused, uncollected, or returned to us due to unpaid customs charges, failed delivery, or incorrect delivery information, any refund may be reduced by the original shipping cost, return shipping cost, courier charges, customs charges, or other costs incurred by us.
