Terms of Service
This website is operated by SCP Automotive Ltd. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to SCP Automotive Ltd, trading as SCP Automotive.
By accessing this website, placing an order, or using any service provided by us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, together with any other policies published on this website.
Online Store Terms
By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract. You must not use our website, products, or services for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose.
You must not transmit viruses, malicious code, or anything that may affect the operation, security, or functionality of this website.
General Conditions
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, restrict access, or limit sales where we reasonably believe there is misuse, fraud, abuse, incorrect information, unlawful activity, or breach of these Terms.
We reserve the right to amend, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website or service at any time without notice.
Product Information and Compatibility
Product descriptions, images, pricing, specifications, stock information, and compatibility guidance are provided in good faith. However, errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or changes may occasionally occur.
Vehicle compatibility information is provided as a guide only. It remains the customer’s responsibility to confirm compatibility before purchasing.
Where VIN checks, photographs, measurements, software versions, or other vehicle details are requested, the customer should not place an order until compatibility has been confirmed.
Pricing and Availability
Prices, product availability, shipping options, and promotions may change without notice.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, stock errors, description errors, or other inaccuracies, including after an order has been placed. Where this occurs, we may contact you to agree a resolution or cancel and refund the order.
Orders and Billing
You agree to provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date order, billing, shipping, and contact information.
We may refuse, limit, or cancel any order where information appears inaccurate, fraudulent, incomplete, suspicious, or in breach of these Terms.
Delivery Address and Risk
You are responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and secure delivery address at checkout.
For tracked services, delivery is deemed complete when the courier marks the parcel as delivered to the address, safe place, neighbour, parcel shop, collection point, or other location authorised by you.
From this point, risk in the goods passes to you.
Delivery Issues
You must inspect your order promptly upon delivery and notify us of any issue as soon as possible.
- Damage, shortages, incorrect items, or delivered-but-not-received issues should be reported within 3 working days of delivery.
- Suspected non-delivery where tracking does not show delivery should be reported within 7 working days of the expected delivery date or dispatch confirmation.
Failure to report issues within these timeframes may affect our ability to investigate with the courier or supplier.
Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations
Returns, refunds, cancellations, exchanges, pre-orders, made-to-order items, and statutory cancellation rights are governed by our Returns & Refund Policy and any relevant policy pages published on this website.
Installation and Use
Automotive parts, accessories, retrofit systems, and electronic equipment should only be installed by a competent person.
We are not responsible for damage, faults, labour costs, diagnostic charges, recovery costs, vehicle downtime, loss of earnings, travel expenses, or other losses caused by incorrect installation, misuse, modification, unsuitable use, or failure to follow instructions.
Third-Party Products, Software, and Services
Some products may rely on third-party hardware, software, apps, smartphone operating systems, courier services, payment providers, or vehicle manufacturer systems.
We cannot guarantee the future availability, compatibility, functionality, or continued support of third-party software, apps, operating systems, or services.
Intellectual Property
All website content, images, text, graphics, designs, branding, and other materials are owned by or licensed to SCP Automotive Ltd unless otherwise stated.
Vehicle manufacturer names, model names, logos, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and compatibility purposes only.
Prohibited Uses
You must not use this website for unlawful activity, fraud, harassment, infringement of intellectual property rights, transmission of malicious software, collection of personal data without consent, or interference with website security or functionality.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe there is an issue with your order or payment, you should contact us first so we have a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.
Nothing in these Terms affects any legal right you may have to raise a payment dispute or chargeback. However, where a chargeback, reversal, or payment dispute is raised without a legitimate basis, or where goods have been delivered in accordance with these Terms, we reserve the right to recover any fees, charges, penalties, or reasonable administrative costs incurred as a result.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCP Automotive Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or business losses, including loss of profit, loss of earnings, loss of use, labour charges, diagnostic costs, travel costs, accommodation costs, recovery costs, or third-party workshop charges.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer rights.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SCP Automotive Ltd from any claim, loss, cost, or damage arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of our website, misuse of products, or violation of any law or third-party rights.
Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that part shall be treated as removed, and the remaining Terms shall continue to apply.
